No.4 on the way!!

Quite unexpected but alhamdulillah. Allah is the best planner and He Knows what's best for His slaves. InsyaAllah, with lotsa du'a, everything's gonna be fine.

Aha, gotcha!! No, it isn't me I'm talking about.. hahaha It's someone close to heart though :)

Teha's gonna be a big sister!! Yes, you heard me right! And her Ibu needs me to look after both Teha & her to-be-no.4. Nora is expected to give birth in May next year and will be having 4 mths maternity leave. Teha will be 3yr 3mth & by next year her Ibu will be registering her for preschool, probably at AlKhair.

Ya Allah, grant me good health & iman so that I'll be able to carry on with the responsibilities of looking after both Teha and her to-be brother/sister, ameen..

And guess who is the most excited among all? None other but Kakak Dini :D

Ok k on another note nari kite terasa nak makan ni, so kite masak ni la nari..nasi jagong and ayam masak merah :))

Nur Employment Agency

Was at Nur Employment Agency, Bukit Gombak earlier this noon with Wak Lin & Wak Na. We siblings had agreed to get a domestic helper for Mak.

Considering her age, it's really tough for Mak to look after Bapak single-handedly. Not that none of us give a helping hand; with our commitments towards our spouses & kids, we can't be there 24/7 especially when Bapak needs full attention, given his condition. With a helper around, we do hope that it will lighten the burden off Mak's shoulder, insyaAllah.

Kamar, who attended to us, had given a commendable & excellent service, alhamdulillah. She knows her job well & wasn't pushy at all.

Sartini, kamu harus berkerudung ya..harus solat 5 waktu & you better be good, ngerti?! hehehe

Geek Day

It was Geek Day at Harvey Norman Funan Centre Branch. Everyone had to put on a 'geek' attire for the whole working day. No exception for the promoters either. So, yes, Ayah was not spared and went 'geeky' too. But of coz that 'geeky' look started & ended at work only lol!!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha

As usual, Eid prayer at Masjid AlKhair in the morning. Went back home after prayer before proceeding to Mak & Bapak's place. Brought beef steak in baked beans. Not quite satisfied with it though coz tercair :( nonetheless, the taste was fine :) haizz lama tk masak ini steak da hehehe

Everyone was there except for Wak Lin's family who were in Pontian for korban. Bapak was in high spirit, alhamdulillah. The guys went to Masjid Assyakirin for their Friday prayer. It was such a lazy noon that we ladies & girls melepak while the guys were off for prayer.

Wak Yaya & family came later in the afternoon when Wak In & Wak Ni had already left. Har decided to bring Bapak for a walk in his wheeled chair after his meal. Bapak was reluctant. Many a times he refused but relented in the end. Upon reaching home from his jalan2, he was seen catching his breath..macam penat sangat gitu, as though macam main kejar2 hehehe Wak Yaya & Har mentioned that Bapak could recognise numbers. He read out the block numbers while they were at the playground :)

None from Ayah's side called. As such Ayah decided that we stay put at Kang Ching for the day. That was a BIG YEY to the kids..wallahi, it wasn't what I wanted but it was better that way though..hari raya doesn't seem like one to them..i dunno..well..wateva! :(

Of Gums that Swell

It's Arafah Day today and ya Allah only You know why I'm not amongst the chosen one to be there...one day, insyaAllah...

Except for Abang, everyone else is fasting. He can't coz his mouth is aching..no, not quite. He had been complaining of pains near his rear gums 2 weeks ago. It could have been ulcers, so we thought. Not much of pain though, but eating is a problem. He has to take it slow & the pain comes with every bite he takes. A week passed but he wasn't feeling any better. A swelling developed & one could easily notice that he's become somewhat a lil 'chubby' on one side of his cheeks. Brought him to the GP and GP mentioned that there was an overcrowding of few teeth on the same spot..prolly another beneath the gum. Doc advised to see a dentist if the pain persisted & abang was given some painkillers & antibiotics to ease the pain. The medicines do help in a way, but he's allergic to the antibiotics coz rashes appear each time he took them.

Ayah decided to send him to the school dental @ Outram. Visits to the school dental are strictly by appointment. Called them up in the hope that he would be granted to be seen. Alhamdulillah, we were advised to walk in without having an appointment, considering the swell on him.

Abang was referred to a specialist. An x-ray was done. Somehow from the x-ray, it could be seen that one of his teeth is way down the gums. Another appointment was given but it coincides with his exams. We couldn't get an earliest appointment as they are all fully booked for the month of November & December. Tentatively, it will be on early December, but they will try to have it earlier should there be any changes in timeslot. However, if Abang encounter any pains prior to his appointment date, we need to send him rightaway. Anyway, the Doc who attended to his case will try to request for an earlier appointment from the appointment desk as he felt that Abang need to be seen the soonest possible.

I wish..

Ya Allah, with this ache in my heart to be amongst those you have called, let my name be amongst them the year after and after, again and again.. :'(

Diaper-free

Been a week now since Teha was trained to pee & poop in the toilet. Alhamdulillah she has been doing great. No accidental or on purpose 'leakage' :)) She was off diaper for the whole week training and Mama gotta keep on repeating "No more pakai pampers ok! Must wear panty. Nak kencing nak berak must go toilet. Baby je pakai pampers, Teha da big girl, paham?!" And that would come with a nod & "Paham" from her hehe 

I gotta admit that it was such a tiring week for me. Apeketidak, makan minom banyak..buangnye pon berkali-kali. But that's ok as long as she listens to instructions. No confidence for a diaper-free Teha on the road though..maybe I should try, on short distance for a start, insyaAllah.

All is well, Alhamdulillah!

Teha was taken to see the doctor as soon as her Ibu & Ayah came to fetch her last Friday. The bleeding on her chin had stopped by the time they were at the clinic. Probably due to the minyak gamat & minyak but-but that I had applied on the cut, with His will, alhamdulillah.

No medicine given, no stitches needed, except that the Doctor washed the wound and applied plaster on the affected area. They were advised to go straight to the hospital should Teha feel any pain or should the blood still ooze out. Referral letter to the hospital was given just in case of any recurrence. But alhamdulillah till today, none happened.

Teha was as active as ever, even on the night of the incident. She requested for McD's sweet corn after the visit to the clinic. She loves sweet corn yes, as much as I do. Ayah has always keep stock of canned ones from NTUC for the two of us :)) masok esbok sejok, best bila makan hehehe

On another note, for the whole of today, Teha pooped and pee-ed in the toilet. Way to go darling, yey!!

Oh and yes, Teha's beginning to recognize أ & ب of the Quranic alphabets, alhamdulillah!

My Teha..an accident it was!

She wanted so much to go to the playground after zuhr prayer today. It was scorching hot but she said "kejap je k Mama." And so Mama relented.

In less than 10 minutes she requested to play skate scooter at the void deck. We left the playground and went up to get her..err it used to be Kakak's skate scooter actually. She had fun and for a 2yrs 8mth old, she's an expert! hehe

Then it was time to go home. Kakak will be back soon, with Silmi coz they'll be doing their Insya' project together. Cooked mee siam kering for them & fried some nuggets to go along with.

Teha was all excited with Silmi's presence. After their meal, they went into Kakak's room to get all the things for the project ready. Teha tagged along wherever they went in the house..macam makcik kpo gitu..she must have jumped up & down the bed while the 2 big sisters were busy preparing their stuffs, when suddenly Kakak shouted out loud while I was in the kitchen.

Teha was bleeding on her chin!! Kakak didn't know how it really happened coz everything happened so fast. Perhaps she had knocked on Kakak's metallic bed frame while jumping :( Quite panicky coz the cut on her chin was quite deep..wiped off the blood with wetwipes and applied an elastoplast to her chin.

Teha didn't cry hard like any other kids would. Tried putting her to bed after she asked for her milk but she couldn't sleep with Kakak Silmi around.

Informed Ayah & her Ibu. Ayah suggested that I sent her to the clinic but her Ibu said she'll send Teha to the doctor after she finished work.

She kept on sneaking into Kakak's room, once in awhile disturbing them. Then when it was time for her bath, peeled the plaster off her chin. Blood was still oozing once the plaster was peeled. I got even panicky. Pressed on ice over and over again on her chin hoping that the blood would go off soon.

After bathing, applied minyak gamat for her before sealing the cut on her chin again with elastoplast. Teha is such a brave and strong girl. She didn't even cry.. not abit!

Her Ibu & Ayah came a lil earlier than usual just now to fetch her and told me not to worry so much. How not to when it all happened at my place :(

They are at the clinic right now and I'm anxiously waiting for updates from them. Praying that she wouldn't need any stitches :( Allah!!

Spot The Error!

Kakak received a certificate of participation for the Maths International Competition & Assesment. Take a good look at the certificate. Helo! My gal is the daughter of Mohamed Jumari hokay! :P

On another note, Kakak mentioned that one relief teacher requested that she be addressed as Miss Teacher. klakar keperr?

Change of Timetable

The boys had a change of timetable with effect from Monday in school, prior to the school's co-location at Madrasah Aljunied next school year.

They will be having only 1 recess time, unlike the 2 they have while in Irsyad, and recess will be at 10.55am. School ends half an hour earlier for the secondary students. I remember Cikgu Iskandar, during the co-location briefing, mentioned that they will be having a trial school day at Aljunied before the next school calendar begins. But the boys don't seem to know anything about it. Perhaps it's something that has yet to be confirmed.

Hoping that the whole process of co-location will gonna be smooth for both students and teachers. And that they will be able to adapt well to any future changes in their new premise, insyaAllah ameen.

That aside, last Monday, Adek received a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his contribution as a Student Leader, since he was in P4. Lama jugak sey Adek pegang jawatan tu hehehe

Teha's New 'Jamban'

Started training Teha to poop in the toilet today. Baby toilet seat is preferred to that of a potty. Alhamdulillah she did it!! But that didn't come easy. She refused coz she felt uncomfortable. Had to coax her, bribe her with sweets and ice creams, and hey, it worked hahaha

Boboi Hensem :D

Cooked Mee Soto earlier this morning, as early as before Fajr prayer haha serious la coz I intended to cook it in time for Bapak's breakfast :)) About 6.30am, heated up the soup, prepared the whatnots and off I went! The kids went back to sleep after solat and Ayah was preparing to go to work..yes, that early coz he's gotta be at the Expo for LG's roadshow by Harvey Norman, from Thursday to Sunday.

Reached Mak's place at about 7.30am. Mak tengah nak siap2kan Bapak..shave misai, gunting rambut, salin baju..pendek kata pastu Boboi hensem arr!! hehehe :)))

Dah siap, dah wangi, it was then time for breakfast.  Pushed him near the window & fed him breakfast after Mak had given him his medicines. Bapak loves Mee Soto! kemain hirop lagik soupnye :D 

It was exercise time for Bapak after breakfast. Mak & Cha assisted him in exercising his limbs by moving his hands & legs up and down. I decided to leave after he was done coz I need to settle keje pat rumah..hehe insyaAllah will be there again the soonest :)))

Lunch at Popeye's

Fadzillah wanted so much to go out on a lunch date with us. Today, she wasn't working coz it's Children's Day. Wak Ni not working too, so just the right timing. Kesian orang tak reti jalan naik MRTso we ended up going to Popeye's at Changi T3, which is nearer to her since she's staying in Tampines. Nampak sangat kenerbesan dia naik MRT sorang2 sampai berpeloh-peloh LOL!!! So, we reached T2 MRT at 11.30am and waited for Syirah who came abit later.

 Teha had a good time at the playground after lunch. Ok la let her enjoy dulu before we go back. 

We took the same train where Fadzillah alighted at Tanah Merah & transferred to the other line towards Tampines. We, on the other hand took the train from the opposite platform and alighted at Kembangan as we decided to take separate cabs home, for fear we might miss our Zuhr prayer if we were to continue taking the train. Teha was so tired that she fell asleep as soon as we were in the cab. Mama tak kasi chan, da sampai kejot her & that caused her to membebel 'penatnyer! penatnyer!' LOL!! Once we reached home, changed her diaper, she drank her milk & continued her sleep haha

Teha woke up late, almost time for Maghrib. Told her Ibu to fetch her a lil later. And after Maghrib, she's all ready to go home.

Bless Him Ya Allah!!

He was doing his routine Qur'an memorisation (on his non-tahfiz days) after maghrib just now. I knew he was exhausted. With Qur'an in his hands, Adek fell asleep in the midst of memorising. MasyaAllah, I've always admired his determination. And I swear I cried in my du'a for him after Isya' prayer. Ya Allah, bestow him with Your Blessings and please make it easy for him, ameen.

Bapak's Appointment

Bapak had an appointment at the hospital yesterday. Wak Lin had arranged for an ambulance for his journey to & fro the hospital. Mak got him ready very early in the morning and Boboi hehehe was looking smart and considerably cheerful at the point of departure.

4 Bibiks accompanied Bapak to the hospital hahaha lumayan!! k k Mak, Wak Lin, Wak In & Cha yang ikot. Wak Lin was with Bapak in the ambulance which ferried them to the hospital. They left home at 9am as the appointment was scheduled at 9.40am

Upon reaching the clinic at the hospital, Bapak was feeling rather cold. They must have forgotten to bring a sweater along. As such, Wak Lin requested for a blanket to keep him warm. It took awhile before Bapak's turn to see the Doc. And Bapak was already feeling restless as expected.

It was the same repeated process of questioning on his medical & being. It was supposedly to be his bed time by then and Bapak was getting agitated and furious all the same especially when being handled by the nurse.

The Doc had advised that there isn't any cure for dementia but there's medicine to slow down the dementia in Bapak. Looking at the side effects that the medicine might have on Bapak in the long run, Wak Sidek suggested that it's best to let things flow naturally, for the benefits of Mak as well, who might not be able to handle.

Meantime, Mak is to be given some time off from taking care of Bapak, to relax her mind, to go out jalan2 with any of us while the others help look after Bapak during Mak's absence.

Ya Allah, kasihanilah, lindungilah & peliharalah kedua ibubapa kami sebagaimana mereka telah memelihara kami sewaktu kecil kami, hingga kami dewasa dan sehingga saat kami telah berkeluarga, mereka masih tetap prihatin ke atas diri kami. Sesugguhnya jasa mereka tidak akan pernah terbalas :'(

The One Who Slept Over

Teha woke up very late from her late noon nap yesterday. As a result, I decided that she slept over for the night.

Her sleeping over has never been any trouble for me thus far. She fell asleep as soon as it was time for Kakak to sleep, though she had enough sleep in the late afternoon. No wonder badan gebu kan..kuat tido, kuat makan, tu pasal la! hehehe

She woke up very early this morning, as early as Kakak. And was all ready to send Kakak to school :))

It was breakfast time after that. And breakfast was half boiled egg with kicap :D

Lunch date with Abang

Today marks the end of STE exams for my 1st bundle of joy. I'm very sure he had done his best for the exams. What's left is the year end academic exams. Everything's gonna be fine insyaAllah. :))

Met up with Abang at Lot1 for lunch earlier. Initially, the plan was to lunch at Pastamania but somehow we settled for Pizza Hut.

Ordered meat galore pizza set meal for Abang, which comes with a bowl of mushroom soup & soft shell crabbietta for myself. Teha had fries but ended up finishing the whole bowl of Abang's mushroom soup coupled with few forkful of Mama's spaghetti.

Went over to Kiddy Palace once we were done with our lunch to get a kid's toilet bowl for Teha. No, not potty! It's high time for her to do business at the toilet hahaha So excited she was that she tried on it as soon as we got home :D

LG Optimus

Ayah went to work earlier yesterday, a normal once a month routine, to attend a meeting at LG's HQ. At the end of the meeting, the MD, err whatever, announce the names of few of the promoters who had shown excellent performance & dedication in their areas of work, to step forward.

Ayah's name was among the few being called. It was such a pleasant surprise for him and the rest when they were presented with LG's latest hp model, in appreciation of their hard work. The MD noted that most of LG's promoters do not own any of LG's mobiles so dorang sume kena sindir ar dengan itu mamat Korea. Mungkin tak bagos kot hp LG? haha but according to Ayah, this new model, which has yet to be launched, is better than iPhone and it costs about $700+ ..arr apape la ape aku kesah :P seriously la I'm not into gadgets..but alhamdulillah la, Ayah being in the audio visual department pon ley dapat itu hp..itu namanya rezeki :)) cik MD, lenkali kasi duit je la..boleh kite buat tambah2 mane yang kurang hehehe
