Hannan in the House!

Felt terharu that Ustaz Hafiz had made time to visit our teratak buruk :) Teha was supposed to sleepover but unfortunately she was having high fever & vomitted couple of times last evening. As a result her ibu had to fetch & had brought her to the doctor.

Bapak's Home!!

Alhamdulillah Bapak was discharged yesterday. We had arranged for an ambulance to ferry him home & Wak Yaya was the one who had accompanied Bapak along his journey home. Bapak looked good, alhamdulillah & he responded when being called. 

Wak Lin informed that Wak Na had bought a new hospital-like bed for Bapak. I've yet to see. InsyaAllah will do on my next visit :)

STE Prelim/CA

Abang failed his Fiqh out of the 7 subjects he took for his STE prelim exams. He would have gotten better grades but Fiqh pulled his grades down. Fiqh aside, he's gotten 14 points for the other 6. Hope he'll get better grades in the upcoming STE exams insyaAllah.

Adek, as usual never fails to give his best with 4MS & 2M for ukhrawi, A1s & a B4 for academic. 

For the first time ever, Kakak will get her CA results only after September term break. Hopefully everything's gonna be fine, insyaAllah.

ye la wak..nanti kite sampaikan kat adek awak!! kite tak pernah marah/halang/sekat adek awak nak belikkan barang ke, nak kasi barang ke..tapi time & again i'm so disappointed each time you call, your niece & nephews' well being has never been in your thoughts..sikit tak tanyekan khabar budak2 tu..bukannye slalu call..so it's no surprise la awak tak tanye pon perihal bapak kite..mustahil la kan awak tak tau! ok random..

A Week

Been a week since Bapak was admitted to the hospital...specifically, tomorrow. Bapak is getting better today, alhamdulillah. He interacted quite abit with Abang Amat, all smiles & light giggles. The same goes with Teha. He called out to Teha commenting on her stomach & eyes hehe..positive improvements, insyaAllah. Scanning was done in the morning, no more fever & I could hardly hear any hiccups from him today. However, he's still having chest infection. As always, his appetite was great :))

Bapak was supposed to go for his therapy in the morning but Wak Lin insisted that Bapak would go only after taking his breakfast. How could anyone expect him to go for therapy with empty stomach? Kalau pengsan camner? Bodoh punye orang! :P Perhaps that fellow da kena warning coz she came down in the afternoon to apologise to Wak Lin. So therapy was scheduled at 2.30pm but I guess they came abit late coz we left slightly later than that.

FC (Fluid Consistencies) Diet

As of today, Bapak's on FC diet. FC needed to be added to his clear soup & plain water during lunch just now, and onwards I suppose.

It must have tasted good, otherwise Bapak wouldn't have finished the plain water & FC mixture. Too much fluid for today I guess coz watermelon juice was served in place of watermelon in fruit form...melepas la chance lil staff nurse! haha but she still got a share from Yai's jelly hehe oh btw, Bapak seldom call out/say a word to those who came to visit. But upon seeing Teha just now he said, "Mendelik matanya" pastu cam nak ketawa hehe

At 2.15pm Bapak was brought to 2nd level for some procedures. Was told that it would take about an hour before they push him back to his ward again.

As usual, couldn't stay for long. Left before Bapak's return. However, saw Bapak's bed being pushed out of the lift at the lift lobby. Coincidentally Mak & Wak In just reached & were at the lift lobby too :))

At 5pm received sms from Wak Lin. Bapak is still having chest infection and that swallowing is a bit of a problem for him. May Allah make it easy for Bapak insyaAllah.

It's Playtime for Bapak!!

Yesterday we left home immediately after Bapak was brought to 5th level for his therapy. Wak Na & Wak In were there to accompany him.

Chest Infection

Bapak's having chest infection. The harder Allah tested him, the vigorous his zikr becomes, masyaAllah alhamdulillah! :')

Little Staff Nurse for the Day

Visited Bapak with lil darling Teha today after her nap. It was a breeze travelling in the MRT with her. I don't need to flag a cab to travel with a well-behaved girl like Teha. As long as she has enough food and drinks, she's a good girl..continuous food & drinks, that is haha

Fever is still on and off. His appetite is still considerably good. Bapak had to share his fruit & dessert with the lil staff nurse for the day as she couldn't resist anything that suits her tastebud :D

At about 3pm, Bapak was brought to the Rehab Center on the 5th floor as he hadn't had his morning exercise yet.

Ya Allah, please grant Bapak with continuous health & iman.

To & Fro the Hospital is our Hari Raya visits

Eversince Bapak was admitted to the hospital, the only raya visit was on Saturday, to my eldest Bro-in-law's crib for his open house invites, only because he balek kampong on 1st Syawal. Other than that, it's to & fro the hospital to take turns looking after Bapak. This is truly a chance for us siblings to care for Bapak in his times of need, yet, this isn't enough, compared to all the sacrifices & love he had for all 6 of us all this while.

Brought Kakak along to see her Yai on Friday 24/8/12, as both Abang & Adek decided to go the next day. Decided to meet up with Teha's Ibu at Bouna Vista MRT station as it's the most convenient place for her Ibu to fetch her. It would be late if we were to wait for her Ibu to fetch her at home, hence the meet up.

Bapak was OK2 but he wasn't comfortable with all the drips and had always tried to pull all the wires off. He disliked being handled by the nurses during nappy change either. He would get aggressive, even to the extent of throwing the pillows on the nurse & showing his temper as though he would punch the nurse on her face lol!! That aside, his tongue is ever ready wet with zikrullah. masyaAllah!! Allah is Great! He has taken all of Bapak's memories of us but retains Bapak's memories towards HIM, alhamdulillah!! May his last breath be accompanied with Kalamullah, insyaAllah ameen.

We went to the hospital again, after raya visit to Bro-in-law's on Saturday 25/8/12. Bapak was vomitting a few times in the late afternoon and looked kinda weak, with bout of fever. He felt better after his dinner but didn't speak a word besides chanting zikrullah :') . We requested to have his temperature taken as we felt that his fever had not subsided. True enough, he was having a high fever at 38.2deg. We left as soon as he was fast asleep after we gave him his fever medicine.

By the way, Bapak is so fortunate that few of his 21 grandchildren are so-called doctors..hehehe

The kids wanted so much to have Tutti Frutti before heading home. It's been awhile since the fasting month. So off we went to Clementi for trutti Frutti time. :))

Made a trip to the hospital again yesterday 26/8/12 with Kakak. Bapak was still having high fever at 38.9deg this time round. He was shivering all over and complained of pains in his joints. He had to be covered with 3 layers of blankets as he was feeling cold :( Another blood test was done. Bapak felt better though in the late afternoon, alhamdulillah. Quite a number of close friends & relatives came by to visit Bapak. May Allah bless them, ameen.

Nora & Hafiz Raya visit

We reached home in time, just before Kakak's school bus' arrival, alhamdulillah. It was a mad rush as I heated the Rendang Paru which I cooked before going to the hospital. Kakak doesn't quite fancy the dish so I had to fry some frozen marinated chicken wings which do not need thawing b4 frying.

In between the time, sms-ed Teha's mum to confirm if they would be coming over for Raya visit. After receiving her confirmation, it was a mad rush again as I prepared the dishes to serve them later in the evening, in between my breaking of fast and Maghrib prayer. But alhamdulillah I managed to cook just on time before their arrival.

Bapak's Unwell

Received whatsapp from my 3rd sis yesterday telling me that Bapak wasn't quite well. He had been having nonstop diarrhoea for 2 days in a row.

Sis told me that she, her hubby, Mak & 4th sis would be bringing Bapak to the hospital. The ambulance was called as Bapak's quite immobile of late.

Bapak was brought to the A&E department. Waiting to be admitted to the ward is really trying the patience. They reached NUH at about 11+am and Bapak was still not transferred to the ward. Hubby, Teha & myself was there at about 2.30pm & Bapak was still at one of the A&E room. It was about an hour after our arrival that Bapak was sent to the ward, alhamdulillah. 3rd sis sent Mak home to rest since Bapak was still in the A&E room. 2nd sis & hubby, 3rd sis & hubby and us stayed.

We wasn't able to stay for long as the kids were coming back from school soon. After having the chance to see Bapak at his bed, we went home.

After Maghrib prayer, received sms from eldest sis. It touched my heart, masyaAllah, alhamdulillah :')

"Walaupun terlantar d hospital, bpk tetap dgn takbir raya nye. Moga akhir kalam menyebut nama ALLAH" :')

Bapak needed a CT Scan on the brain as well as a blood test. The scan was fine alhamdulillah. As for the diarrhoea, he was said to have bacterial infection.

We pray for Bapak's speedy recovery.

Disappointment

Every year seems to be the same old thing. The warmth, the closeness aren't truly felt. It's like 1st Syawal doesn't mean anything to them. Seriously, takde kesyahduan langsung!! And whether we came early or late, we'll always be the first to be there. And each year the venue keeps on changing and only on the eve of Raya we'll get to know where to be on 1st Syawal. Yes, that bad!! :( Can't blame the kids at all for being restless, for wanting to go home as early as possible. Forgive me Ya Rabb for whining!! :( Nothing compares being at Mak & Bapak's.

2nd Day of Syawal

It's been a family tradition to go visiting on 2nd Syawal with the siblings. No visitings till late night though, that's a big no-no! Solat & lunch stopover is a must at any of the siblings' crib. It's always meal time at every house anyway during raya visitings hehe.

Started the day as early as at 10am and meet up point was at 5th sibling's crib. Plan A failed & unfortunately Plan B wasn't drafted. Mati akal for awhile :P Nevertheless things went smoothly. Nothing will go wrong when siblings' raya visiting is concerned. It will always be fun fun fun! :D
